Boarding Schools -
Yes, there is a positive alternative.

Reach Out Christian School, Inc. is located in a beautiful mountain area, with pastures, a barn, pond and garden, art building, workshop, and bunk house - all in addition to a cozy classroom building complete with kitchen and living room. It can certainly give the appearance of a boarding school.

Families often choose a boarding school for that atmosphere of "home away from home" in addition to the help offered for self-direction, and an academic education. Many families are searching for a fine boarding school for a child diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, LD, OCD, the related spectrum of Autism, or Giftedness. So why isn't Reach Out Christian School, Inc. a boarding school?

The reason is very simple and clear: to keep the family together. When a child is diagnosed with a learning difference, the family feels concerned. It's natural to feel overwhelmed, or even troubled, in looking for solutions.

We understand what the family is experiencing. We offer a hopeful solution based on the love, and faithfulness, and power of God to help us with all our needs. We have the positive vision that this diagnosis can make the family stronger and happier. With the right approach, this can indeed happen.

Think of the family as a team. There's courage to be revealed in unity. There's power in understanding that by collecting together the capabilities of the individuals in the family, that this can offer the support needed to tackle the challenges. This understanding brings comfort, joy, and peace.

Reach Out Christian School, Inc. works with the entire family. Educational meetings, family support groups, and a weekend retreat are included in the basic tuition. Family involvement in the specialized learning plan is crucial.

In the name of Christ, we teach the 3 R's:

Reverence of God,

Responsibility for Self and Others,

Resourcefulness of Talents.
